【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardpresentsacompilationofpublicinformationsymbolsandgivesrecommendationsfortheiruse.NOTE1Fortheconvenienceofusers,thegraphicalsymbolshavebeengroupedaccordingtotheareaswheretheyarenormallyexpectedtobeused.However,thesegroupingsarenotintendedtobeexclusiveanduseofthegraphicalsymbolsinotherareas,wherethisisconsideredappropriate,isnotprecluded.Thisstandardisnotapplicabletosafetysigns,includingfiresafetysigns,ortotrafficsignsforuseonthepublichighwaywhicharegovernedbytheTrafficSignsRegulationsandGeneralDirections1994[1]orspeciallyauthorizedbytheSecretaryofStateunderSection64oftheRoadTrafficRegulationAct1984[2].NOTE2Safetysigns,includingfiresafetysigns,arecoveredbyBS5499.WatersafetysignsarecoveredbyBS5499-11.
