【摘要】:Flashpointandfirepointofaliquidarephysicalpropertiesthatmaybeusedtodefinetheirflammabilityhazards.Theflashpointmaybeusedtoclassifymaterialsingovernmentregulations.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationbyTagOpen-CupApparatusoftheflashpointandfirepointofliquidshavingflashpointsbetween18and165176;C(0and325176;F)andfirepointsupto325176;F.1.2Thistestmethod,whenappliedtopaintsandresinsolutionsthattendtoskinoverorthatareveryviscous,giveslessreproducibleresultsthanwhenappliedtosolvents.Note1-Inordertoconservetimeandsample,thefirepointofamaterialmaybedeterminedbytheTagOpen-CupMethodbycontinuingtheheatingofthespecimentoitsfirepoint.FirepointsmayalsobedeterminedbyTestMethodD92,whichshouldbeusedforfirepointsbeyondthescopeofthistestmethod.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorspertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduseThisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
